Netgard™ MFD Identity Card Access Solution
Netgard™ MFD is an in-line multi-factor user authentication solution for networked multifunction printer/scanner/copier devices. The Netgard™ MFD appliance protects a network by requiring users to authenticate themselves with a smartcard and personal identification number (PIN) without which, the Netgard™ MFD appliance does not permit the user to scan and send from the multi-function device.
Netgard™ MFD supports network authentication using LDAP or Active Directory as well as local user authentication.
As a reference, the Netgard™ MFD meets multifactor authentication requirements set down by the U.S. Department of Defense (DOD) for access to network-based devices and systems.
