Description
The SST SV2TF TEMPEST Virtual Display Client (Thin Client) is based on SST’s leading TEMPEST design for Thin Clients and incorporates the ultra-secure Sun Ray 2FS virtual display client: designed to have no resident Operating System. The Sun Ray software manages userauthentication, encryption between client and server and even user session management.
The TEMPEST version optionally retains the ISO-7816-1 compatible Smartcard reader for secure user authentication, fibre Ethernet is provided on an ST, SC or MTRJ connector. The dual DVI interfaces provide up to 1920 x 1200 (single monitor) or 3840 x 1200 (dual) pixel resolution.
With diskless operation and no resident Operating System the SV2TF is whisper quiet and inherently more secure than a PC. The compact size of the SV2TF means it occupies minimal desk space as a tower or when sitting neatly underneath the LCD stand, furthermore the optional monitor stand bracket enables it to be mounted on the rear of an SST TEMPEST LCD monitor for ‘zero footprint’. With a typical power requirement of 5-10W, it also uses less than half the power of a typical Thin Client and less than 5% that of a PC.
